About Express Dental Laboratory

Nobody wants to wait on a crown. That is why Tra Chambers started this lab in 2012, and it is still the reason we run it the way we do.

From crown and bridge to a full digital lab

Tra founded Express Dental Laboratory in 2012 as a crown and bridge lab, after working at a practice for a few years. He wanted the lab to be digital first, so offices have fewer issues with fit and get cases back fast.

As more dentists bought scanners, we built the lab around them. Cases come in as files, get designed on screen and are printed or milled on our own equipment.

Today that work runs out of a 12,400 sq ft lab in Moore, Oklahoma, across six service lines from surgical guides to full arch.

Our mission

We help digitally forward dentists get more out of their digital technology with a full suite of dental solutions, so they get restorations back faster, run fuller schedules and bill more in a month.

    Jeff Smith is a Tulsa native and 2002 graduate of Memorial High School who studied Industrial Engineering in Syracuse, New York. He brings 20 years of operations management experience across automotive, oil and gas, renewable energy, wind tower manufacturing, and dental operations. Jeff joined Specialty Appliances in October 2025 and currently serves as Director of Operations.
